Regensdorf Town Hall Square

The town hall and plaza are on the main street of Regensdorf stretching between the train station and town center.

The Plaza, designed by Studio Vulkan, on this prominent site serves as a visiting card for the town and should function both for events, in particular wedding festivities following the civil marriage in the town hall, as well as a simple space to enjoy while passing through.

The identity of the plaza takes the theme of the wedding. A large ring of water, making playful reference to the wedding ring, builds a common central point between the existing and new buildings of the town hall. Lilies, a common flower for weddings, are imprinted into the concrete pavers as if just thrown to the bridal pair.
